So, what is The Point of Wasps?
People love bees.
People hate wasps.

The Point of Wasps is a band, fronted by synth pop duo Vespula and Vulgaris, (two anthropomorphic wasps) on a mission to fix their terrible reputation through catchy pop songs and shameless audience interaction.
These wasps tell their own story.
"We are ancient, clever and surprisingly useful, we are pest controllers, pollinators and devoted parents, yet everyone treats us like villains."
Developed (as a research and development project) through walkabout performances at festivals including Glastonbury 2024 and 2025, one thing is clear: just saying “wasp” makes people nervous, but singing about it makes them laugh, and laughing makes them listen. The music comes from a nine track concept album written and performed from a wasp’s point of view. So if you ever meet Vespula and Vulgaris - expect pop, synth, spoken word and a few knowingly bad raps, all delivered with charm, mischief and a very serious ecological point hiding underneath. The Point of Wasps turns fear into curiosity, facts into fun and prejudice into pop songs - changing minds, reclaiming the villain and giving wasps the respect they deserve!
So show some WASPECT. It's time to rethink the underdog and create a buzz.
